How we started

Founded on a nine acre hobby farm in the Adelaide Hills, Nine Acres started with a simple idea: to create a better-for-you drink that celebrated the region and its flavours.

We’d been searching for a something to drink when we weren’t drinking: not a sugary soft drink, not a sugarfree drink full of artificial flavours and sweeteners, and not a “mock” alcoholic drink. Just an all-natural, sophisticated drink that felt like a treat and quenched our thirst.

We couldn’t find it, so we made it. Inspired by the tradition of drinking shrubs, we created something to refresh, delight, and elevate everyday moments.

We enjoy Nine Acres after a long day at work, with lunch, whilst socialising, and occasionally mixed with our favourite gin or vodka. We invite you to enjoy it any time of the day or night, straight from the can or in a fancy glass with ice and a slice of citrus. Alcohol optional.

The best part? The subtle tang that sets it apart from other sparkling drinks comes from apple cider vinegar, so you get your daily shot of prebiotic disguised in a delicious treat!

Ashton, Adelaide Hills

In the heart of the Adelaide Hills, Ashton is just 20 minutes from the city.

A town built on orchards and known for its apples, cherries, and fine wines.

Surrounded by some of the best produce and vineyards in the world, it was the perfect spot to start a beverage company with a fresh, modern take on traditional drinks.

Sustainability

We care about doing things thoughtfully — not just in our drinks, but in the way we work.

Like many of our customers, we want our choices to have a positive impact. That’s why we make the most of every ingredient, turning by-products from our shrubs into small-batch jams and ice cream. We also keep food miles low and choose packaging that’s kinder to the environment, so enjoying Nine Acres feels good in more ways than one.
